Actually, we’re hoping the first bit of news, President Joe Biden’s commutations and pardons, will affect the lives of those imprisoned for non-violent cannabis offenses.

What Happened: President Biden has been under pressure from all sides – Congress members, advocates, family members and human rights organizations – to release the 3,000 federal pot prisoners, as promised, and to commute the sentences of many others.

Here’s what he did on Thursday, which was a welcome move though no details just yet on how many of these individuals are marijuana offenders. Though we’re happy for any and all who will benefit from Biden’s move, we wait with great anticipation for more.

Thirsty? Seth Rogen’s Got You Covered

Then, as the day proceeded, we heard from our friend Seth Rogen whose cannabis lifestyle brand Houseplant launched what definitely sounds like some thirst-quenching cannabis-infused sparkling water. “Not every situation is right for smoking, and not everyone wants to smoke,” said Rogen.

Oh yeah, one of the four fruity flavors of Houseplant’s bubbly includes pineapple, clearly a nod to the 2008 film “Pineapple Express” - a hilarious buddy stoner action flick written by Seth Rogen who starred in it along with Evan Goldberg and James Franco.
